For me this is awesome! I prefer to knit than crochet (it uses less yarn) however for the past few months my wrists haven't been able to handle knitting, but I can crochet without any pain.
@DIHatLady Since this is really knitting (with a hook) once you complete the knit stitch on the first row, the next row should be purled because you are working the back side every other row. So Row 1: knit, Row 2: purl, Row 3: knit, Row 4: purl. Give it a try. Although I knit and crochet, I'm not sure why one wouldn't just knit with knitting needles. Maybe someone could fill me in. :)
My sample didn't curl, it just didn't look like the picture of the lap throw (that looks like knitting). I want to see the little "v's" for several rows. I am an avid knitter and crochet a great bit. I was looking at a new craft. I am not sure if I was following the instructions correctly.
Does this have a tendency to curl like with Tunisian crochet?
If the Knook keeps your work from curling up, it would be good.
I already know how to knit and am comfortable with it, but this might be a good product for those who are used to the motions the hands use for crocheting, but want a knitted look.
Also, with Tunisian crochet you are limited by hook length, I think. With this you can add a longer cord, I guess.
I would like the demo to show at least another row being worked. I am not being successful in getting my second row resembling another knit row. I want to see the turning of the first row and a second row being worked. Maybe then I would feel more confident.
