Vectrix USA unveiled their zero-emissions vehicle (ZEV) in San Francisco at the Presidio last week. I had the opportunity to ride it with Jeff Morrill, Vectrix marketing director, and it was a lot of fun! (I want one!) At $11k, I'll have to wait, although the State of California (where I live) is apparently very close to granting a $2000 rebate after purchase of the Vectrix, and that's enough to make a difference for lots of people. If this machine gains wide acceptance, could it become the Prius of motorcycles? During taping, I couldn't help but notice how quiet this bike is, especially after several loud scooters and motorbikes rode by!

  • If you're depending on others to see and hear you on your bike, you're already dead, dude. It's your job to seem 'em coming, and avoid 'em. Take responsibility==of take a number at the local morgue.

  • This thing has no chance. It is way too expensive. I never had a car that price.

  • this bike would be a blast to drive but not in gay californa.

  • I would love to rent one for the weekend if available. I wish the manufacturer, employees and investors all the best.

  • If the buildquality is as bad as an american car europeans won't buy it.

    It's expensive as well.

  • This thing is a death sentence, theres a reason bikers say loud pipes save lives. This thing being silent, theres alot more chance of some idiot pulling out infront of you, or changing lanes and running into you because they couldn't see because of a blind spot, and there was no sound.

  • After reading all the comments I still wish all involved the BEST of luck with this vehicle. Yes, 11K$ is lotsO money however, in my 58+ years, it seems to always take extra money to save money...... Congratulations.........

  • but for how long...

  • I'll stick to my 50cc scoot.

  • who cares abowt ppl hoo r DEF!
