I woke up dreaming about how I was a trainer for Ninja Warrior ( Sasuke ) contestants.

I was seeing, in my dream, how to approach the different challenges, what worked, how to improve. I was very tough on the contestants, and the result is that it paid off. People trained their muscles, trained their rhythm, and as a result, were able to get thru the challenges quicker, conserving their bodies.

For the Cliff Hanger, try to keep the ledge at face or head level, so your elbows bent. This is a strain, but gives your arms better extension for bridging the gaps. And for that final gap, it is about rhythm as you swing your body and transfer your weight from one hand to the other. It is also about placement, so you can give your left hand enough room to grab the end. Watching how previous contestants have done it will give you an idea of how to swing.

For the new Spider Wall or whatever it is called, the board that comes out horizontal, then goes perpendicular to a vertical. I am curious if free hanging, no feet, will work best, so you can shimmy out to the end. BUT, face away from end, point your face backwards. The reason being, once at the end, you can shimmy up the vertical by swinging your body back and forth, gripping the sides of the board and letting momentum help you get up the board.

For the final rope climb, that is a daily training regime. And I recommend adding weights till you are at the 25, 35, or even 45 pounds of extra weight. This will help build up the arm strength and help you zip up the rope. Maybe also add a U.S. military rope climbing trick of pinching the rope between your feet as you scale upwards.

Again, it is about identifying the tough challenges and practicing those daily. This will likely require building your own training places and models.

And for the Spider Jump, LEAD WITH YOUR LEGS!

Everyone who fails, jumps up and thinks that their arms will have to do most of the work. But if you jump up and let your spread legs catch the walls, your arms will automatically catch the walls and keep you upright and stable (so you do not fall backwards).

I am almost curious if they should remove that obstacle, or place it in the second stage.
