A very efficient airlift pump being tested in a 6 m borehole simulation. Pump is being run at 1 bar pressure. Higher operating pressures result in a quicker pulse and higher flow rate:-

  • I am a medical missionary in Togo, Africa who also do clean water resource development. You idea could really help save many women the labor of having to spend much of their day lifting water. I sense i could apply you pump to a solar panel driven 12 volt tire pump---would you please share the drawings of your pump so i can duplicate. THANKS!!!--mike

  • @Apyx It is simply a pipe with an open end in the water with the air pipe inside. As the air is pumped into the larger pipe it rises taking the water with it.

  • Hi! Im from Argentina, I want to ask you something, how is builded the bottom of the pump, the part that is under water. It's like all the airlift pumps? or it's something different?

I hope you can understand me.

    PS: Sorry for my English.
