In his remarkable life, Johnny Grant made approximately 60 trips overseas to entertain U.S. troops during 6 different wars. By far, his favorite destination was Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, a community he fell in love with the last two years of his amazing life. This short film has been selected to receive a Hollywood F.A.M.E. Award at the November 20th, 2008 event at the Music Box Theater in Hollywood. It was shot by independent film maker and music artist Joshua Poet and was aired on the Google Current Television Network on Veteran's Day in 2007. It features appearances by Al Bowman, who accompanied Johnny on this particular trip, along with Base Commander Mark Leary, MWR Director Craig Basel and General Jay Hood. This film captures the only time in United States history that a Hollywood Star from the Walk of Fame was ever presented to a military base.

The video was posted by Max Worthington, a great friend to the Hollywood creative community.
