*There was a confirmed tornado in Lewisburg (EF-0) from this line of storms.

A squall line ripped through the Miami Valley producing widespread wind damage across the area... The NWS Wilmington office issued one severe thunderstorm warning for 25 counites at the same time which is a new record for the area.

  • Some new information... I just found out tonight that there may have been a tornado oustide of Lewisburg in Preble county. The NWS is going there Saturday to check out the damage and make a decision. I will let everyone know when I find out.

    You will also see that New Live Doppler 7 Radar did pick up on this rotation.

  • were they using the new VIPIR and Baron radar systems for these recent storms?

  • It is all built into the same system. I think the Baron B.T.I. information is an overall estimate based on all radar sources no matter what they are showing (Doppler 7 or NWS Wilmington)

  • One question. If there are 25 counties where the storm was over where you are, how big in miles are these areas in each county?

  • It varies in size but the warnings basically went from Lima, OH to just north of Lexington, KY.

  • Probably hard to tell, but what do you think this spring is going to be like? :-\

  • Well, with only 2 tornado warnings last year... It can only be better than last year lol

  • I want a bloody tornado for western New York. Is that too much to ask for?

  • by the way those markers that jaime was talking about are called sheer markers now that does not mean that there is a tornado but the radar is indcating possible rotation with very strong winds

  • what do you think spring will be like this year?? any severe weather for the northern part of the U.S.??/ I want some severe weather!!! lol
