i understand most want to hear eigo, demo
it would be good to also say tatoeba
feels good = kimochi ga ii.
the hiragana on the screen is good.
But its also usefull to hear the words back to back / Translated.
studying Japanese is difficult when they speak in Japanese fast & only have some subbtitles.

@ActionTeacher The issue with saying that is that I am talking about SPOKEN english where as you are proving written english. Due to the large amount of professional documents online your test is invalid. Comfy is hardly ever used in written english because it is awkward and incorrect to use in proper English.
-
@ActionTeacher, no problem. I completely understand what you mean, and that makes sense. I was thinking of making a series of English lessons, but maybe I won't since the YT J community has you.
-
@xxfloppypillowxx Actually that's true. It's pretty interesting! For example, in NYC they say Get on line. But in other parts of the USA they say Get in line. Course, "comfy" is not grammar. A good way to search for a word's popularity is simply google alone and in a phrase -- with quotation marks. I just did: "I feel comfy."=114,000 "I feel comfortable."=11.2 million "comfy"=13.6 million "comfortable" =114 million So comfortable wins, but enough people DO use comfy so it's up to you!

@KansaiJesse New York has a lot of grammar that doesn't exsist outside of the city and/or state.
-
@xxfloppypillowxx, not that it matters where I'm from, but New York. Well, perhaps that is how you roll in Canada, I don't know. But it is very effeminate to say in the US.
-
@KansaiJesse Where the heck are you from then? Here in southwestern ontario it isn't an age or a gender thing. I am a 20 year old male and I still use comfy over comfortable.
-
@xxfloppypillowxx if you're a girl and under 30 you say comfy. I don't think I have ever heard a guy say comfy or use it in any context. I know I haven't. Comfortable is the used all the time in "fluent" English.
Hey Victor, are all of these videos accompanied with Japanese? While the English is no use to me (to learn) I can always benefit from the Japanese.

@KansaiJesse
No, man. Sorry. SOME of the vids have Japanese but I try to avoid it on some lessons. My goal is just to teach English in most of these vids. If I can work in some Japanese naturally I might, but it's not my priority here. Also from a Japanese viewer's point of view, some of them really prefer me NOT to use any Japanese.
