Cell Phone Popping Popcorn - Again!

For all you skeptics - I've done this one more time.

Yes - you can pop popcorn using your cell phone! The trick is to get the antenna lined up with the kernel just right.

The video is zoomed out a bit further - so you can see how I've set things up.

The popcorn is superglued to the tip of a carbon fiber rod (doesn't conduct heat very well).

It took longer for some reason this time (maybe my alignment wasn't perfect) - I was worried it wasn't going to pop!

I don't know if its fake or not but have you ever consider that he could heat the corn from the metal thing in some way instead using the cell phone??

metal thing is a "helping hand" from radio shack - nothing exciting there.

I'll also point out that I was touching it just a few seconds beforehand - would have to get pretty dang hot pretty quick.

Is this really popped with only a mobile phone?

If so, do you know the frequency of your phone? And how did you choose the distance and alignment?

(i tried with 2 phones to no avail)

phone is an LG Flare on Virgin Mobile.

Alignment was just intuitive. Think this test was further in distance than my prior - may be part of why it took so long.

Please do it just laying on a glass table because when it is suspended from anything It could possibly have heat flowing through it. Please

ok dude. if ur using a hot air gun.. it should sound.. even u edit the audio in the video.. not unless u muted all audio in this video and put a recorded 1 with out hot air gun
