    That's absolutely not true! You have to learn english as a german speaker to understand it.

    Years ago I had a great conversation to an old jewish man in Kiev. He spoke in yiddish and I in german. We had no problem understanding each other. Yiddish is closer to standard german than many german dialects!

  • @guitarplyr2255 The similarity between Yiddish and German is like the similarity between England and German. They are related, but still quite different and not mutually intelligible.
