sick run.. i beat this game one time and i had to use the 99 life code where you put altered beast in first and then take it out at a certain point and load up strider, took me like 20 tries to get it right but HOT DAMN WAS IT WORTH IT.. otherwise i would always get stuck at the part in the last level where you have to jump across the platforms and avoid the spikes while upside down, you made it look so easy!! thanks for this, makes me want to play this game again so bad!!

@usabispingfan Thanks! Strider, in the Hard mode, is really very hard. I think the video shows some good hints for who wants to beat this game.

This version is closer to the arcade than the American version cause Strider Hiryu makes vocal noises every time he swings his cypher(Sword)and at the end the "Master" says "All sons of old gods die"a statement that was taken out of the American version but was definitely in the Arcade version,aside from the Japanese text,Strider Hiryu's beefy textures and the missing Whale scene at the end when you finish the game(also left out in the American version)this version I guess comes the closest.

I like how the game has mechanical robots, but in the end the final boss is some dude that can use magic and summon beasts hahaha

the graphics in this game are better than ps3/xbox360/wii :)

When I was in daycare when I was little, they had this game along with other awesome ass arcade games like altered beast and shinobi. Basically my daycare is the place that I became a gamer and it was all because of this game. I LOVE THIS FUCKING GAME!!

I prefer PlayStation version than Genesis version. Genesis version too later as CPU process than arcade version.
