"Our republican nature and unbridled individualism needs to bow to the collective Igbo interest." --------------------------- Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. Owerri. March 5, 2010.
"..I will never be tired of reminding you, my beloved brothers and sisters, that we Ndigbo are a great race, richly endowed by the Almighty God, the creator and giver of all gifts." ------ Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu at Owerri Conference of South-East Elders and Leaders. March 5, 2010.
"..a man's soul is not a matter of properties and investments, but a matter of right and wrong, good and bad, just and unjust. Ndigbo must not lose their collective soul as a people." ----------------------- Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu in a keynote address at the meeting of South-East Elders and leaders held in Owerri on March 5, 2010.
Action Action Action, everyone wants to lead and that's why the igbos are still second class citizens. Also, igbos find it diffcult developing their own area. They prefer to travel far and wide to the Norh or West and develop their areas
God bless you Luke.Oil economy is nothing but almost a curse.Hausas Yorubas in other regions outside Nigeria went there just as Igbos have gone to many African nations. The issue is that having discovered our problems ,the solution is on the way.I have answer to provide to the situations.
Creation of CREDIBLE leaders is what the Igbos need not toothless Ohaneze.Any effort in that direction would be viciously attacked by the Nigerian state using every means including divide and rule tactics.
