This is a brick and stone charcoal kiln in Sao Paulo , Brazil. This is one of 8 kilns at this site that have been operating for many years. Unique about this setup is a smoke liquids collection system
In this segment we can see the finished product as it is removed from the kiln. It is also interesting to note there is very little ash to be seen. This biochar is made from eucalyptus grown in plantations. A ring count on an earlier lot gave 8 growth rings.
