Design Lab [troll hound] - 1/2

Episode 3 is a creature feature with some 4 legged troll companions. I should have gotten some creature specialist guest to do this one with me.

Who knows where this one will go. Hopefully it winds up looking gross, the fate is in your hands.

I'm about halfway through and the spoilers for this movie, which i have right here but haven't started watching, continue to grow... should I continue to watch this? I am quite a spoiler freak. pt2 should be good

@gassnake There's not really any talk about the plot, just using the movie to reference some aspects of trolls that are found in the classic mythology.

Nice! really glad to see a departure from comfort zone work here, favourites have to be 6 for its facial ambiguity and slightly more herbivorous look, also 7 for its already well defined attack dog like stance and interesting head, prefer 7 slightly.

Btw for anyone out there looking to boost their creature design skills sketching in zoos is awesome

I watched troll hunter because of this tutorial but I have to say, I like your troll hound design a lot better than that movie's trolls.

I imagine a Troll would keep a dog only to be a beast of burden, to carry his stuff around, or like deliver mail to other trolls (sounds silly I know). I like the look of six, it looks stocky and like it could carry some weight. I also like the looks of eight. When it comes to these types of things I like splicing in elements of other animals so I can definitely see some hog/boar elements and maybe even some rhino in there. I think it would be cool to see a mix of 6 and 8.

I liked the last page mainly 7, It looks like it has wilder hair and 6 looks interesting 'cause I don't know exactly how it would look.

You should add some skin features ie.sicknes, or maybe some ticks :::]: )
