Whos threatening you to believe in Christianity? I have to say man I dont understand your analogy at all... the cookie is supposed to be Christianity I think?? A More Accurate Analogy of Christianity is You put a Cookie on the table and tell a small child not to eat that cookie you put right in front of them. Knowing full well that as soon as you turn your back they will grab that cookie and eat it. Then when what you knew would happen does happen you scream, Damn it now I must kill the Dog! I can't love you since you didn't listen until I get Blood to appease my anger!

Actually the essential message of all religions, including Christianity, is love and respect. The fact that people twist it away from that doesnt detract from the original meaning. Its the same thing as saying that a gun is evil because someone used it to kill.... in that instance it was bad, but what if someone else took the same gun and used it to hunt an animal so their family could eat? Religion is a technology, and like all tech its inherantly morally neutral.
