I can't say any other band quite sounds like Soul Secret. Yes, there's lots of DT in here, but the key playing and the singer definitely call Italy to mind. The lyrics are also different...
I think the big difference is that Soul Secret is influenced by hard rock, particularly in the heavy riffs. They treat the music like prog-hard rock, but with the intensity of metal. It takes lots of experience to catch this.
PS: Mark Basile sings on this album because Michele couldn't perform in time.
