THE MISSING AND THE DEAD
When a passing motorist spots a fire along a country road in South Carolina and calls it in, police arrive to discover the badly burned and battered remains of a woman, her skull smashed in to 97 fragments. After a forensic anthropologist at the University of South Carolina painstakingly pieces the bones back together, investigators use the skull to solve the murder.

My mom was the detective that worked this case. I think we need more officer's like her and more friends like Kathi. Mom worked on this case for a long time and it absolutely amazes me at how cruel some people can be.
This is a hell of a smart and dedicated woman. What a good job she did making phone calls and keeping on top of the missing person's case. Without her pressing, there may not have been a link.
A good friend comes and gets you no matter what time of night it is. Sending money was just a way to get rid of the guilt.... I should know I once asked my best friends to go to the hospital with me. THey said no....you don't get appendicitis every day....
Curlywhome83, next time you get appendicitis, call the best friend you know who lives 400 MILES (let me repeat that 400 miles or more) away from you and see if they will drive you to your local hospital. I bet they cut work/quit sleeping to drive 125MPH on the highway...JUST to take you to the hospital.
