Well it?s been a long time... Really hard to introduce the 6th part of a series (I think you do exactly know what is going to happen there : D), so I?am going to tell what you can find in the zip and what is different to the previous parts (for the case you?ve watched any of them). So first of all there?s a menu. Just unzip the whole folder and run the exe. It?s a windowed interface with submenus like demos, readme, links and the main video file. Nothing special but still more comfortable than a DVD menu, since there?s only one video file but text and single files. The main concept/style compared to the other parts is still the same, except some details. For example music. No more "180 bpm i?ll kill your brain action dnb". Music is still electro, but more easy going ;=). There?s camming, but not much. Can?t say it often enough, in my opinion camming is for freestyle movies or really nice effect movies, but it doesn?t show the movement. Don?t forget, you miss CPM turns, while watching a model looking left-right, left-right : D! The demos were done especially for the movie, this means: only good-looking maps and entertaining runs. Tried to keep the movie lengh a bit shorter, just because A) wanted to show only the best runs I had, B) in 2007 no one is able to keep his attention on defrag runs for like 20 minutes any more.   • It's really so sad that unless you have played defrag or even tried these jumps, it's impossible to see the difficulty. Most people won't really see the true magic in these jumps. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • I'm so glad I touched Quake era. If you had just learned how to bunnyhop and shoot people with rail and rockets, any modern game looks like noob kindergarden. All those "ah so 1337" dragshot sniper movies look so lame and slow and you know you can do better. Hell, you can do that shit with ballistic projectiles, like 40mm and knives (in mw)! Quake is the best gaming school.

  • @MysticalOrca Basically Defrag is a mod for Quake that pushes the limits of how well people can control their momentum in Quake. You don't program the movements, you do everything by hand and mastery over time (it takes years). I can't explain the physics in this one post, and honestly I don't (completely) comprehend everything about it, there are entire essays devoted to that on the internet. But the strafe jumping in Quake is just... Ridiculous. Yes, people still do it, including me.

  • @RyanJRA64Abella I know that your comment is a year old and you might have even moved on from quake by now. If you wouldnt mind could you enlighten me to what is Defrag? I have looked it up on google and it seems to be you programming in every movent your player does then running it and tweaking to get a fast time. Is this true and do people still do it?
