That makes sense because it just does not sound like it was written in 1938, its the theme I grew up with and I LOVE IT!!!

I heard the themes song was sung in 1966 the original run's didn't have a theme song it was done for the benifit of syndication.

Any idea who's singing the theme song? It definitely sounds like it could be Singleton & Lake themselves, especially when the guy does the Dagwood laugh near the end of the song
