  • I am sort of shocked you guys aren't hot bunking instead of an actual assigned bunk system. Used to, top bunks came with tags saying it should not be used while vehicle is in motion. Did yours have a restraining net. IHC tried one but instead of being up and down in front of the bed, it ran across the top of the bunk. 1st time I tried using it, damn near cut my head off. Went back to sleeping bags and hot bunking. I got t-boned once and looking down from a top bunk scares the crap out of me.

  • @jko3139 what exactly is "hot bunking". Swift policy (which makes sense to me haha) is nobody on the top bunk while the truck is moving. I have a net on the bottom bunk that we use while rolling teams, you had me laughing on the getting caught in it… (Ive done that before haha) I am sorry about the "t-bone" i hope you NEVER experience that again :( be safe my friend .. thx for the comment -E

  • can you choose to ride by yourself and not have a partner?

  • @Xperiments101 once you are off of the 240hrs of training with your mentor you can then choose to either go solo or team :)

  • @yourboyethetrucker how do you like trucking? How is the pay and if I decided to drive how would I negotiate payscale?

  • @runhorun to be honest, I don't think you will have much room to "Negotiate" if you are new to trucking.. the starting pay is the starting pay… (I did a video on that) but trucking is ok for now.. its tough being away but at the same time its a pretty good job :) I see a lot and pretty much encounter new things almost every day.. you just gotta take the good with the bad (thats key!)

  • @2darkmatter haha thx for the comment. yeah the writing on the window helps SO MUCH haha.. I have a short memory sometimes so it helps to have my exits or instructions written down on the window. It really came in handy when my qualcomm broke and we had to do directions step by step. I'll keep thinking of things to show, I have a few more ideas that I think are pretty cool. thx for the shout out :) - E

  • the writing on the window see, that is something i haven't seen before or heard anyone talk about before!! does your mentor do this all the time or is it done by most truck drivers, that's what newbies want to know!! if it's new to you than share it with US!

  • @toyerrie as of the 12th I had finished all my hours.... I am posting another 2 or 3 videos soon talking about my experiences and how the final testing went. But I am currently all done and ready to rock and roll as a soloist. I am waiting on my truck (so far about 2 weeks) but it should not be to much longer. From there I can hopefully film some actual road time and what my work day looks like :) thx for asking
