Bigger engine, better transmission(SuperTurbing 400), fancier interior, often found with bucket seats, instead of the LeSabre's 3 horizontal ventiports in the front fender, Wildcat has 3 vertical ventiports, different body trim. Standard 3spd on the column or optional 4spd on the floor for an extra $34.25!

Hi FARGZEM, I know it had a bigger engine than the LeSabre....but what were the other differences?

please don't kid yourself into thinking the lesabre was a version of the wildcat. Actually, the lesabre was a much cheaper version, and when you say like that, you're going to offend many real Wildcat owners.

My late father had the 1964 Lesabre version of this car....basically the same thing. He turned his rusted 1955 plymouth in for the LaSabre in 1966. It was a great car....gold exterior with gold cloth and vinal interior. He finally turned it in in 1976 due to the floor rotting out real bad from Massachusetts winters. It was a good car....massive and comfortable.

I like the Buick Wildcat on air video clip and you should paint the 64 Buick Wildcat color for the body aqua blue and top white.
I Have a 65 Wildcat and I was wondering what Air System you are using? What kind of Air springs?
I would like to put my Cat on Air also.

The original market for the 60's era Wildcat was a young ejecutive/father who needed a "family" car (a coupé would do) but who still wanted to haul ass down the highway. It even came disguised as a four-door sedan. This was/is a great car. Take good care of it. Mine was a sedate yellow 64 convertible with black trim. I definitely miss it more than I miss my ex wife.
