'Dracula's Guest' is a gothic horror machinima animation.

Bram Stoker wrote this fascinating gothic horror story. Some think it's a missing chapter from the novel, 'Dracula.' Others suspect Stoker wrote it several years before the novel. Whichever is true, the story stands on its own as a supreme example of its genre.

This film was written and animated by Alessandro Cima. It was produced by Candlelight Stories, Inc. (CandlelightStories.com)

I thought this was pretty good. It could have used some additional narration in the middle with the wolf/dog attack and whatnot. This is a hard program to use for making a specific story... overall you did a good job maintaining continuity. I still haven't been able to get the lip sync feature to work.

mysterywalker, I agree about the program being somewhat difficult to use for telling specific stories. And the lip sync feature is a pretty crappy. Machinima will simply not get where it should be until a real tool with complete user control is available. Machinima is too much at the mercy of game engines.

Uh, Dracula's Guest had a Wolf in it, not a Doberman Pinscher.

Well done, but it does not follow exactly the original story

Not even close. He never fought the duchess, neither the dog...he was paralyzed in fear, and just watched the dead duchess INSIDE the grave, and got attack by the wanna-be dog, which was Dracula itself. Dracula never bit him, that's why he sent the letter afterwards. "his life is very precious to me..."

He felt the scent of Johnatan Harker's blood, and he wanted it at ANY costs.

Read the book. It`s way better than any movie or animation.

I know. It's frustrating because you can see that all the technology is there to make a dedicated machima-making engine that would look great. But people keep coming out with things that are not quite that... like themovies, iClone, or moviestorm. I imagine someone with the technical savy will do it within a decade or so, though...
