Spencer is building a pre war D18 for me. I can't wait to play it. He does a great job on his guitars and plays a mean mandolin to boot.

The guitar was built by the mandolin player, Spencer Strickland. It is a hybrid D-18-HD 28 that was constructed like a 30's model Martin.

This looks kind of like a pub scene in Ireland...talented local musicians come in and out to play while others mill around and chat or just sit and listen. It's no wonder since much of Appalachia's music came from over there. But even though the music has changed a bit, the traditions have stayed much the same as they were three hundred or so years ago. That's pretty cool.
