Harpers Ferry Freedom Blues
from "Freedom Blues"
by Conkling, Annie Canada, and FreeSoulJah
Special thanks to the National Park Service for their contributions throughout the years to furthering education and protecting our land and history, and allowing people to learn about Harpers Ferry, WV.

A music montage showing how we can link where we are in the world with others through music and communication (in this case Youtube), and strive for a better World together.

When we are not all worried about profit, greed, copy-rights, and other self-interests; we are better human beings. "Hording" what we make ourselves, or the desire to "Steal" from others, can both be avoided by "Sharing" freely with others. Thank you to all those who have been able to "let go" enough to allow their creations' life to be enjoyed by others without threat of legal action.

PEACE through sharing ART, MUSIC, & FILM

  • nice usage of clips and music

I wish I understood it more.

  • Thanks Sgt, Harpers Ferry was chosen by George Washington for the 1st Federal Armory. The Armory was destroyed by the Civil War, but the Town lives on. We learn from the ghosts of the past...

  • It's where we gave up the Articles of Confederation in favor of a Federal Republic.

  • Yeah, the loss of State's rights is important to remember also, and that all of our founding fathers had flaws as well.

  • Feeling The Freedom Blues! Love the cinematography!

  • You have a deep sense of the spirit of the land and the spirit of the peoples who have lived there before, as if you have lived there yourself, in past times...its 'haunting' (in a good way) and mysterious. I like it !

  • Yeah imagine that a President would actually lead armies in a War they helped to start. LOL Washington was really quite a warrior, farmer, surveyor, businessman, and leader.

  • ah ! Thanks for explaining and I just went over washington a few weeks ago. hehe

  • Beautiful place. How WV should look but in my southern part of the state mountaintop removal and logging is quickly turning the entire area into a toxic,war-zone looking disaster.

  • I love that place and a trip to antietam to end the day. Great job

    Peace

  • I ADORE Harper's Ferry. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't been there in some time. I shall be planning a visit soon, though!!!!
