Where Move differs from the Wii is in the camera and glowing orb combo, which function just as the motion capture suits movie studios use. The result of all the internal and external components combine for a cohesive motion tracking solution that truly knows where it is, which is not at all possible on the Wiimote or Motion Plus. What happens with the Wiimote and M+ is you get an orientation sensor, a pointer, and an accelerometer working in fragments, but all this means is the controller knows how it's pointed, it knows THAT it's being moved in xyz, but it doesn't track XYZ accurately enough to know where in 3D space it actually is.

You can see here one example of a Wii game that suffers from the technical restraints of the Wii.

It's my belief that because Move *LOOKS* a lot like the Wiimote, and because it covers a lot of the same sports and genres the Wii does, that in the months leading up to Move's launch it will get a lot of unwarranted hatred from Wii fanboys for being a ripoff, and hatred from PS3/360 fanboys who are afraid to step into the motion realm because of how casual Nintendo made it look. HOWEVER, once those people set their preconceived notions aside and actually try it, they'll realize it's NOT the simplified Wii stuff- that you actually have to play like it's the real thing. That it's far from casual, and is in fact very grounded in realistic physics and real-world movements.

I own a Wii, Motion Plus and PS3, and wish the Wii could have done this back in 2006. Instead it was nothing but a gimmicky, casual, overrated disappointment in the eyes of core gamers.
