FFO, I love you girl. Oh and just a little fun fact for ya, a few years ago SeaWorld parks alone made an outrageous amount of money, (can't remember the actually profit made sorry) yet only 0.08% of it went to conservation of wild cetaceans.

@krazyface123 - Thanks! Generally they make about $1.2 billion per year, and yes... very little of it (less than 1%) goes to conservation efforts!

Captivity is not the best thing, we all know that, but it is not as dramatic as you put it. -- No harm intended. I agree that capturing the orcas way back when was a horrible thing and honestly, I wish it wasn't done, but it did happen, and this is where we all stand.

Captivity is not a killer. End.Of.Story.

@littlewolflover - lol this video is deliberately dramatic (that's the whole point, it's just poking fun), and I thank you for your input, however I have to disagree with your 'captivity is not a killer' comment. A lof of captive orca deaths are directly related to the fact that they are in captivity (Kanduke, Taima, Kalina, Kandu, to name a few). But thanks anyway :)

What program did you use to make this slideshow and how did you edit it?

@reefwanter - I used iMovie on a Mac in conjunction with Photoshop because iMovie sucks... DON'T GET IT. I recommend Final Cut or Sony Vegas.

I don't think that keiko's release was a complete failure, but I also don't think it was a complete success. I do think we can learn from it and learn how to rehabilitate and release orcas better.

do you expect people to believe you/?? none of this is true. if you put the orcas in the ocean, they WILL die. SeaWorld does ALOT for the environment. i think you should do your research, before you go trashing seaworld.

i totally agree!! i get that ALL THE TIME because no one believes how horrific seaworld is... but most pro-caps refuse to see how stupid they are. selfish and ignorant people...

Well compared to lolita's seaworlds is larger but the ocean is best! And orcas can and sometimes do like human companionship ex- Luna. Sadly people killed him. But also they can kill you but you made it soud like they were cold blooded murder's. I'm for both wild and captive only for good reason's on the captive part.
