  • aw poor baby!

  • I wish the camera had been rolling when the sac burst, spewing pus and funk everywhere. I hope doggy is okay now.

  • that was so sad sorry about your dog!

  • The trick with pain medication, especially with stoic animals like dogs, is to nail the vet to give explicit dose time regimen and stick to it. Not administer now and then. Continued post op mild sedation should be discussed. A 'safe' and quiet area should be selected for post op recovery.

  • ok I had the same kind of dog that did the same and just so you all know it is painful, but It isn't necessary to have surgery always. I took my dog to the tub and squeezed the infection and what not out. cleaned the area and used peroxide to disinfect. I did this twice a day and within a week it was healed. Not saying this would be the case for all dogs expecially the bigger ones but when I talked to my vet they said that is what they would have done too pretty much and I saved myself the bill.

  • What if they are constantly licking but nothing is coming out I phoned them and she said its normal I checked her stool and it's kinda soft not firm any ideas

  • Very informative. Thank you, you have no idea how helpful this is for me. The same EXACT thing has happened to my cat three times (The first time it happened both glands ruptured within two days of each other. Thankfully the third time only one ruptured) and none of the three vets I took her too could tell me what was wrong! So I decided to do my own research and all of her symptoms match what has happened with your dog. Now I can hopefully keep this from happening for a terrible forth time.

  • he dosent need the dam flash light !

  • Very informative, thanks for sharing!!
