  • Ah.. no. They are currently building her sister ship. They usually build these suckers in 2's and 3's because basically the tooling cost to build one is most of it. It actually costs just about the same to make 2 or 3 as it would to just make one.

I know that doesn't sound logical on the surface of it but that's engineering. They contract out the price of both or all 3 vessels at once and spread the cost across all vessels of the same platform.

  • But then again if they hadn't ordered the ship, those people would never have been employed.

It still sucks, though. I don't think I'll have a chance to get a summer job from the shipyard.

  • @Paralyzer They knew about the iceberg. They thought the ship could take it.

  • I rolled my eyes when he said bridge of the Star Trek Enterprise.

6 minutes in I took it back.

  • Amazing technology for an Ex M.N guy.

  • I did not realize cruise ships were still giving bridge tours. I thought bridge tours were discontinued on all ships after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 for security reasons. Which lines offer bridge tours and galley tours?

  • @Paralyzer lol:)

  • Captain Wright is right. I just wonder if she is hardened against EMP. And could he go to old fasioned celesial navigation like ANY USN captain could?

  • THE BEST SHIP !!!

  • Being a helmsman looks tiring just standing there

  • 11 days?? wtf... with 50 km/h or lets say 45km/h you need a max of 6 to 7 days to cross it. .. ok, slowing down on purpose, but SO slow? ^^

  • @Paralyzer if your not being sarcastic the titanic was in the 18 or 19 hundreds, we didn't have technology then.
