I was fortunate enough to see her at a small college in Calgary before 'You Were Here' was on a major label so when I bought the cd at her show it still had the copy of the hand drawn crayon picture. I think that show was $8. I saw her again about a year later and then another time about a year after that. She immediately 'won me over' so to speak with her brilliant talent...the voice with the great writing and playing too. Take a listen to 'Dogs and Thunder' if you want to be lulled into tears.

I love her music, I'm still thankful for the day my TV in New Zealand mysteriously picked up a music channel from Canada and caught her video for Basement Apartment. Glad to hear a return to form. Hope she tours down under again.
