If oil stayed in the ground, then the majority of the products we use wouldn't exist.

Granted, our reliance on oil, particularly foriegn oil, for FUEL is disgraceful and inefficient. But oil has many more purposes other than just fuel.

If we kept everything underground where "god put it", you wouldn't have computers or cell phones either, because the minerals used to make the chips and the like come from there, as does the petroleum used to make the plastics.
