mnehh..... my chemical romance could be classified as an emo band, but they're much more rock/punk than emo.... they're a genre all by themselves...... you don't hear the whiney emo vocals or the screamo growls..... and the guitar work is really something..... so yeah, I would say My Chemical Romance - not emo..... they're pretty kewl, actually...... this coming from a guy who diggs Metallica, Iron Maiden and AC/DC
