Metamorphosis: people are searching for 'real' identity. This proces of identification is vital: intense love for an identity gives a naturally discilpine through imitation, with your mind as well with your body, wanting to become almost the same as the 'real exotic other'. Near nature and your pure self. But it is out of reach because purity is an idealistic illusion. The pain of our life is that a part of us stays the same: we can flight from the growing harmful forms of our modern society.

We are taught to act as if we were matter, as if we were made of bits and pieces, black or white, good or bad, a self divided to serve an image imposed on and in us by powers beyond our control. I think Shamanism or rhythmic spiritual exercises free form what control we do have to reform even heal our psyche. "When you say matter' you are creating a symbol for something unknown, which may just as well be a spirit or anything else; it may even be God." Carl Jung.
