what an incredibly badass man. I wish i could have seen him live in action. I dont know much in depth information about boxing, but i know a bad man when i see one. And rocky marciano is a bad bad man. But also so gentle and non abrasive outside the ring. Hes like a close family friend or your neighbor who would drive your grandmother to the pharmacy to pick up her prescriptions, then climb into the ring and completley bash a mans face in

it is said Rocky had the punching power of an amor piercing projectile ... he hurt you where ever he made contact ... many of his opponents suffered ruptured blood vessels in their arms and shoulders ... anyone that knows boxing knows Rocky was truly the greatest

@crowley0312 Theirs more to being a boxer than just technique is what ALOT of people forget... Jersey Joe Walcott was a better boxer than Marciano ever was a better boxer but he never had anywhere near the same amount of heart and determination or better conditioning you could add as Marciano plus he was also fierce very fierce maybe not the best text book boxer but he has alot of qualities a championship boxer should have but today's era boxers DON'T HAVE!!!

People are so quick to say Marciano is overrated. The truth is, he's probably the most underrated boxer of all time. You can't mention his name without some black guy popping up and calling him a bum.
Not only did he punch with lots of power, but was also an expert at slipping past jabs and getting inside his opponents. Very underrated. One of the best HWs of all time.

Rocky punched like he had lead shot in his gloves, just these thudding heavy fists that reverberated through his opponents, he's style probably wouldn't work so well nowadays as the sport (and world) has come on so far but he was a real gent and a humble champ, qualities that are sadly rare now. All these years later and never forgotten. R.I.P Rocky.
