Here's some comparison footage of the 3 new 1080p video modes alongside the original HD hero 1080p mode. Plus a still from the new one. I love the fact I can get 170o FOV in 1080p now.

@droidomz okay, dude if ur still wondering, it looks PERFECT when its on youtube its just because were using basic LED screens on our pc's and the video players arnt designed for HD use :) hope i helped man

@droidomz the gopro 2 is a lot better in the dark, as you can see in this video. So it wasn't a waste...

My Hero2 in low light in my house (1080 wide setting) it goes into a sort of night vision green mode. Is that how the new low light settings in this camera is supposed to work?

How is it when you go into a closed building/room from outside? Does it change the light levels correctly?

look at the detail of the bed skirt on the right bed @ 20sec then 25 sec.... gopro2 is much sharper. yet on the poolside video the gopro1 showed sharper image...

@CSOCSO hmm. maybe you are over analysing these. remember that youtube recompresses them too on upload. better low light means more sensitive to light - so bright objects will be brighter for sure that's just the nature of any camera sensor. There is not a whole lot of low light difference - but it IS noticeable on overcast days - see my latest flying video for an example. with the old go pro there would have been far more artefacts.
