tokyo blue is a contemporary jazz band lead by this bassist.
Heavily influenced by the international artists and composers including Hiromi Uehara, Avishai Cohen trio, Marcus Miller, Joe Hisaishi and more, Tokyo Blue's music has essences of Jazz, Fusion, Progressive Rock and even Film Music. Tokyo Blue uses sweet melodies with funky rhythm section and odd meters at times, constantly pushing their limits of jazz writing and improvisation while still keeping the songs melodious and story-full. Tokyo Blue has released their debut album "The Naked Soul" in October 2009. Having received overwhelming responses at DigItAll Festival 09 (Malaysia), JGTC Jazz Festival 09,10, (Indonesia) Penang Island Jazz Festival 09 (Malaysia), Mosaic Festival 11(Singapore), Tokyo Blue promises that this is only a beginning.
