As good as Pattie Labelle is, this performance only shows what a criminally underrated singer Ronnie Milsap is.
Name any country singer today who could share the stage with an R&B singer like Pattie and not sound totally out of his element. Ronnie belts this song out with as much soul and intensity as she does, and who would believe this guy is a country music legend after hearing this performance!
Milsap is one of the finest and most versatile singers American music has ever known....
