Hi man. I am just starting to record on minidisc. I want to make a backup copy of my C90 cassettes. Can I extend the usual 80-minute discs to record 90 minutes? Cheers Sean

Compact Disc was in fact developed by Sony and Philips, not Panasonic (Matsushita). First CD players were Sony and Philips and Sony also introduced the first portable CD player D-5 in 1985. A great video though, thanks!

Yes another point also was the fact that any file transfered to the older mini discs like Net MD players you could not transfer the files back to the PC. The only way possible was through the input jack on the PC and play back in real time. What a total waste of money and time.

I agree: it was definitely a stupid move to limit file transfers with the Net MD models. It make sense with the older models simply because at the time they came out, no one had thought of pc's being able to hold music yet.
As far as being a waste of money and time... eh... it depended on your outlook and patience. I don't regret using it at the time, and when Hi-MD later came out I pretty much got most of what I wanted. But it was too little, too late for the market by then.

Actually, it's me looking at the video footage being recorded on my computer to make sure it was recording ok. But great job thinking that the location of my eyes is more important than paying attention to what's being said.
