A beautiful day at Cambridge Primary School. Singing to the New Zealand Rowing team - a song we adapted to encourage them in their World Champs endeavour - Nov 2010! GO KIWIS!
LYRICS:
CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL PRESENTS...
Rowing on the River
(Performed to the tune of "Proud Mary")
I'm ready to leave for Cambridge
Been training for my race every night and day,
I'm not gonna lose a minute of sleepin,
Worry'in bout the boats closin in on me
Big oars keep on turning,
Proud Kiwis keep on burning,
Rowing, rowing, rowing on the river.
Done a lot of strokes since Poland,
Pumped a lot of iron with the team at the gym,
But I never felt the rhythm of the river,
til I put that silver fern on me.
Big oars keep on turning,
Proud Kiwis keep on burning,
Rowing, rowing, rowing on the river.
If you come down to the river,
Bet you gonna find some supporters there,
You don't have to worry, cause we got it covered,
People on the river gonna whistle and cheer.
Big oars keep on turning,
Proud Kiwis keep on burning,
Rowing, rowing, rowing on the river.
