But ik Rei has Shinji's mom's DNA bc remember that scene in RoE 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance when Gendo and Rei have dinner, all of a sudden in Gendo's point of view he saw his wife just for a few seconds then he saw Rei again, remember that?
