The singer, novelist Danielle Steele's son, died of suicide. He killed himself after releasing a cd titled "a gift before I go", for reasons I do not know.

I was in the Navy with a kid that went to hs with these dudes. Saw some shows with him, post Nick. I took these guys on the roller coaster in Mission Beach, SD, CA after an awesome show at Canes. Julian Grant where are you? Love 17 reasons great album.

Danielle Steel was his mother - she's a writer. She wrote a book about Nick: "His Bright Light". Really depressing, but you should read it.
