A masterful scene from Boardwalk Empire, Season 2, Episode 5 "Gimcrack and Bunkum." Apologies for muffled audio.

  • Best character hands down...<3

  • @Kellao He's my favourite BE character, tied with Arnold Rothstein and Al Capone. Those three are the only reasons why I keep watching BE! Also, Chalky White.

  • i did not want him to pull the trigger...but if he did i would have understood i guess

  • The dog's like, "seriously?" If he was serious about killing himself, he wouldn't have gone after the mask.

  • He needs to find a girl to love him and so he will not kill himself.....and then they will not kill him off....they would probably kill off the girl.....fuck.

  • He is my favourite charactor and this scene has definently altered my view on people who attempt suicide. I always thought it was a selfish act but sometimes its just not that easy, Amazingly acted!Every time I see him me heart breaks. Great show Boardwalk Empire please dont kill him off??

  • If he was going to blow his brains out he doesnt need a mask lol

  • @Kellao "Mmm hmmm Yep." *THROAT CLICK**THROAT CLICK* "Yeah that's right" *SINUS CLEAR*. Nah seriously though, if he had been successful in sucide then I probaly woulda either showed less and less interest in the show or stopped with the end of this episode. Without him, it's just another run-of-the-mill gangster drama

  • Perfect. Beautifully acted and written. Had me feeling many things in under 5 min. It took me from peaceful, to concern, to horrified, to relief, and then to happiness when he says "I need that mask". A rollercoaster ride (emotionally). And I didn't have to leave the house.

  • @kilderok same here..absolutely love him!

  • This scene breaks my heart.

  • @homerrulezzzz English language second for me. If "Richard" squeeze trigger shotgun does he die in real life (outside television)? Thank you sir.
