@DeborahDolen @MabelWhiteDIY DEMO Deborah Dolen shows you how to make your own chocolate easily and with a crock pot or microwave. Forget buying wax filled chocolate from commerical grinds. Make your own with Mabel White Home Living and make it better! Mabel tells you what chocolate to buy in the grocery store that is the best quality. Produced Deborah Dolen for Mabel White Home Living.

Deborah's tips on chocolate is this: "Nestle chips [dark chocolate] is usually the best quality if you need to melt chocolate for dipping in a hurry. Dipping chocolate on the shelves are mainly wax. You can also gently melt nestle chips for pouring into molds. I use a crock pot on "warm setting" to run most of my chocolate. Stir periodially so you do not scortch your chocolate. White chocolate can be doen the same way using chips-in a smaller crock pot kept on "warm." It does need to be stirred more. I use white chocolate for design and why I never need as much as the dark. You can also dip spoons and pretzels in either. This is a totally fun project sure to thrill anyone standing around. Join me on Twitter http://www.facebook.com/mabel.white.home?ref=name

  • Nestle chips are actually the best chocolate to melt. The others have too much wax in them. You can also melt the chips on warm in a crock pot and dip away. ~Mabel

  • Oh I will be doing this project with the kids and the youth group. They will love making the chocolate and the fact that its done in the crockpot is great and a whole lot safer. I noticed at her web site she had chocolate molds on sale I will be getting them . They were cheap. Thank you again Deb/Mablewhite.
