  • Alternately you could loosen the two bolts on the engine side until you get enough slack to put the bolt through the mount. Then the threads will carry the engine back up. But if you didn't know what part this is you probably shouldn't ;) You should probably sort out that ovaled mounting point though.

  • Yes i did my homework lol i tryd to use a jack under the engine put a block of wood between the jack and engine. was able to lift engine up with no damage but now the holes dont line up lol. engine needs to be lift up verticly and pulled horozontaly which is wierd but i guess maybe it was bent. god i think im just gonna put a rock on the gas pedal and let it go off a clif with 100 pounder propane tanks in the car!!

  • The left upper motor mount is not welded in place. It is attached by two studs with 17mm nuts. I would say pull the whole mount out and replace it if it is stripped or the bushing is worn.

  • buy a new car and restart the economy

  • lol yea that's the engine mount. Unforunately it has ovaled out the mount on the car frame, which is welded on I think. If you want to get the bolt back through you should lift the engine a bit with a hoist. Though a jack with a plank under the sump could work, but not recommended - might trash the sump gasket.

  • dude!!!!! this is were the engine is mounted....

dont move the car and have a towtruck get it to a mechanic....
