A brief and personal glimpse of the Rainbow Gathering held this year in Washington State. Every summer since 1972, at different National Forest around the United States, the gathering has been attracting thousands of people from around the world with no formal organization, leaders and without anyone buying a ticket or being paid for their labor. The use of the phrase: Living Light in their longer title is a reference to "living lightly", or living with little mass or impact on the environment... it is a rainbow gathering with the full spectrum of hue-manity...

my sister was there :) she traveled from Texas all the way to washington where this is at but foot and hitchiking... iv always wanted to go there!

Fact: These people will never go at war or kill anybody.
Nobody has suffered at a rainbow meeting or had a negative experience. Everyone gets away from there with a loss of something and most feel very happy and peaceful at such an event.
I got only once there and can say it is a very enriching and unique experience. You feel like everyone around you is a firend and genuinely connect with everyone.

@dom32giz The abomination of man is often clothed in the name of God. I saw nothing but love and respect and yes, there were many broken people there as well but all reconnecting to a sense of wellness, happiness and simplicity. Sorry, no Egyptians nor Babylonians to be found...
