  • Is D'Sousa for real? Why would he implicate Dan in his rape scenario? Has he no sense of decency? His thinly veiled personal attacks reveal a very telling desperation, and a poorly constituted character.

Today's world is wonderful compared to how it was: We don't force kids to work like at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, life expectancy keeps getting longer and longer, our food is cleaner than ever and today a poor child being born in India is more likely to get to be 90 that a king being born in Europe 200 years ago. We are progressing as a society towards fairness, we know more, we are healthier. The world is improving.

Your religion makes you focus on the negative.

  • @drreiserer "Why would he implicate Dan in his rape scenario? Has he no sense of decency?"

Dinesh is exposing the "indecency" of the atheistic view that we are merely biological machines without purpose except for maybe survival. Survival for what? For production and reproduction. For what? to survive. And around it goes. Rape isn't wrong in atheism. That is the indecency.

    peace

  • @rubstrol i know,and no wonder he needs a book on morals

  • @drreiserer I was embarrassed by that

  • Who else thinks that moderator is an a**hole?

  • Amazing how mean spirited Dinesh was towards Dan Barker. Some Cristian...

  • @ThoughtGazeCarlos In addition I believe that if you are allowed to present your imaginary friend, it would only be fair if we presented you with some of our own.

  • @ThoughtGazeCarlos You are asking for us to compare the evils of all humanity to that of your imaginary friend. Even if you were to take an average of how many people have been killed versus how many of us have lived without killing, or using some measurement of sin to come out to the conclusion that the general populace has sinned, therefore we are all sinners... it is still a weighted comparison. Instead you should ask us to present our greatest, most void of sin, atheist to combat your Jesus.

  • @ThoughtGazeCarlos I will say again, I'm no history expert. I've cited what I know. And religion can't lay claim to all human morality. You really think that the Jews had no idea it was wrong to steal, kill, etc before reaching Mt. Sinai? Our morality has evolved (we take what is good from our religion and ignore the bad, like slavery, based on secular decisions). What I'm saying is the origin of the good you claim comes from Jesus isn't as black and white as you'd like to think.

  • @bossmonkeykj Are you intentionally dodging my question? I will ask it again to you more bluntly, whom has a better record: Jesus or humanity?

  • @ThoughtGazeCarlos My history is lacking, so I can't cite examples or comment on the ones you've mentioned, but around 600-1000 die of AIDS in South Africa alone every day because of the lies spread by the Catholic church about condoms. Also, Hitler's Christianity is debatable.

There have also been studies done that the most atheistic societies have the lowest crime rates. We can cite examples back and forth all day, but it's more important to debate on the ideological level.
