Never heard his version but I just looked it up on You Tube and its good but its too fast for the song IMO. Like for me if your talking about a failing relationship and you really cared for the person you write a song its not gonna be as upbeat.

but to clear it up a little I'm not saying a year later or a couple of months later. I mean as it's going on or maybe a week after but that's how I interpret the song.
