When I asked John about how and why this particular run ended, he said that he was just looking to qualify for the match rounds and claim the daily high run award (and prize). This turned out to be the high run for that year - Corey Deuel ran that 153 the same day - Sunday a few hours after this run. John said that he knew that would be enough to qualify for the match rounds, so he really didn't care when he sprayed that break ball. LOL.

seems like he was natural for 1 rail position on that last key ball... wonder why he tried to spin inside for 2. maybe he was just tired or rushing a bit. John is amazing to watch though. Love how he bumps the break balls into line!
