  • Slight error there needs pointing out - the prophet Mohammed was actually a pedophile, a psychopath and a mass-murderer who indulged in banditry, torture and massacres and had sex with a 9 year old girl when he was 50 years old.

So, all in all, not very holy or righteous there.

  • the best prime minister we never had.

  • i think so too. Tony Benn is a great man. Have you heard of others like Tony Benn. If so i would really like to know. Please let me know.

  • I'm pretty impressed by people like Tony Benn, which are usually found in the UK. Sadly, there aren't many of them here in the US, or at least I haven't heard of them. Europe seems like more of a free place than the US.

  • This is a politician who is unique.. he is trustworthy. Therefore, the New Labour tories would never allow his honesty to infiltrate into parliament. This is a man you may love or hate, but he is not a liar and embraces an intellectual ambience which I hold in awe. Prime minister material yes.. but would be murdered if he came close. What a pleasure to hear him speak.

  • And if it wasn't for 'Democracy Now' we'd be sleepwalking under Rupert Murdock.

I enjoy watching the weekday show since I was introduced to it a few months ago.

Benn, with his characteristic bullishness, would use an example of history to illustrate the independence of 'DN".
