This video was created as project for a college communications course by Amber Lindke, Canisius College '09 (Buffalo, NY). The interview was conducted with then Army SGT Norm Forbes who was wounded in a roadside bomb attack in Baghdad, Iraq on March 17th, 2008. At the time of this interview, SGT Forbes was nearing completion of his medical rehabilitation at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Since the interview, SGT Forbes has been medically retired from the Army and is set to begin a 10-month long course that will prepare him for his next career as an Air Traffic Controller. Amber (a former "Miss Buffalo" and 2nd runner-up in the "Miss New York State" pageant) did receive an A for this project. She will begin pursuit of a Master's Degree in Communications at Northwestern University this fall. We wish both of them well.
Wish I could have been there with you guys, rear detachment sucked. I wish my wife was not needing that heart surgery and I could have gone with you guys.
