  • Quit arguing, faggots. If you don't like Aes go to a different video.

  • I don't know why people start arguments on Youtube,it's quite pointless,I'm pretty sure anyone who watched this did because they like Aesop,or Kimya, theres no point in judging them because of that,or the fact that they like a certain type of music, thats just stupid. But I will say Aesop fucking kills it,dude is so awesome, one of my favorite MC's

  • @buildingm ahhh you were so quick to talk about people not getting avant garde that you misread my comment. My comment was refrencing fans of this genre who consider THEMSELVES intellectuals just because they "you" listen to this music. I am by no long shot an intellectual & if you re-read my comment you'll see what I meant.

Now with that said, my comment still stands

  • @xpoondiggy

I said YOU—to mock YOU, as the self proclaimed intellectual—DON'T GET the value of the avante-garde.

Lupe just dropped a corporate album and Priest raps about the bible; both vapid sources of thought. Don't know Lotus, but Doom is ill and the rest are cool, agreed.

But Aes is his own thing and that's his fans like his music.

Again, it has nothing to do with understanding; what he says, in the strict sense, typically lacks obj. meaning, anyway . . . so understanding is irrelevant.

  • @buildingm i how i love that robotic & typical "oh you just dont get it" response, especially when it has NOTHING to do with the conversation, fans just cant WAIT to say that no matter WHAT, but the truth is "whoever doesnt LIKE it, just doesnt GET it because it makes you THINK" is moronic, There's Saul Williams, Lupe Fiasco, Killah Priest, Madlib, MF Doom, Flying Lotus, De La Soul, Del, QTip..abstract poet/emcees that 'make you think' (LOL), have you HEARD any of them? Do you just not GET them?

  • @xpoondiggy

    So you're a real intellectual, I take?

    HA!

As the "real intellectual" you are, I find it odd that you fail to grasp the value of the avante-garde—which, as I'm sure you know, has been said to be the only true form of art in modern times.

Aes speaks abstractly; so people who want concrete messages (as most do), can't feel his music because—god forbid!—he makes you think.

People support Aes because he's unique and defies all norms.

Such tastes have nothing to do with race.

    PEACE!

  • @xpoondiggy yep. I mean a lot of those dudes are some of my favorites. Love Camp Lo. Canibus has some wild new shit, Priest is the man (I was just kickin it with him a couple hours ago.). Monch and Mos are sik. Ghost is way ill, but I STILL LIKE GZA THE BEST IN WU, ( but everybody has a different fave. that's the best part bout WU. Heiro is legendary. I used to like Murs but somethin about him these days makes me not like him. I'm a big Grouch fan. I respect him though. same with Kweli-

  • @FreestyleFletcher mad nice on the mic = reks, jay electronica, canibus, mos def, black thought, murs, sean price, elzhi, royce da 5,9, nas, phonte, monch, j live, shad, invincible, ghostface, danny brown, deacon the villain, majestik legend, onebelo, homeboy sandman, vast air, blueprint, common, talib, lupe, aceyalone, kam, killah priest, redman, kurupt, prodigy, raekwon, saigon, camp lo, slaughterhouse, heiroglyphics crew, malcolm & martin, ras kass

this isnt rap, it's Joni Mitchell 2000's

  • @xpoondiggy a drunk robot that's mad nice on the mic. hmmm. no wonder I think he's good. I know tons of different kinds of people that like him. anyway, whatever. doom sucks.

  • @FreestyleFletcher even if you're telling the truth, am I lying about his fans?...really?...

Im not a hater, I dont have anything against him, only the typical fans Ive described who overates him as the best...Im only pointing out WHY they (you) think like that...I think he's overated..he sounds like a drunk robot. but that doesnt matter, my opinion is about the fans, not the artist, a real intellectual would of seen it.

BTW, I dont care how you feel about Doom, why should I?
