in the beginning of the video, it is stated that the lanes had a lot of carrydown, so that is what was causing the ball to skate and deflect like that

and that ball still skated? wow that balls decent in oil i cant believe it would do that. is it drilled weak or have tons of games on it?

it skated due to the coverstock preparation (light sheeen of polish) and the layout; pin above the ring finger. not the ideal combination for the lanes that day.
